HoverSelect is a macOS utility designed to help users select, copy, paste, and extract text more efficiently.
Text and Clipboard Data
Text selection, clipboard actions, and OCR processing are performed locally on your Mac. HoverSelect does not upload the text you select, copy, paste, or extract for cloud processing.
OCR Processing
Capture to Text uses Apple system frameworks to recognize text visible on your screen. OCR processing is performed on your device.
Accessibility Permission
HoverSelect requires macOS Accessibility permission to detect text under the cursor, interact with supported applications, and provide text selection features. This permission is used only to provide HoverSelect functionality.
Screen Recording Permission
Capture to Text may require macOS Screen Recording permission to access the portion of the screen selected by the user. HoverSelect does not continuously record your screen.
License Verification
If you purchase HoverSelect, the app may connect to Lemon Squeezy, our payment and licensing provider, to activate and validate your license.
For this purpose, license-related information such as your license key, activation status, and device instance information may be transmitted to Lemon Squeezy.
Your selected text, clipboard contents, and OCR results are not sent to Lemon Squeezy as part of license verification.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. HoverSelect does not directly collect or store your payment card information.
Analytics
HoverSelect does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated as HoverSelect changes. Any material changes will be reflected on this page.
